WakeUP Wake County and the League of Women Voters of Wake County co-sponsored a series of four candidate forums in 2012. Events included Wake County Commissioner Forums in Garner, SE Raleigh, Cary and North Raleigh and our first forum for state office, North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction.
WakeUP and the League of Women Voters of Wake County were thrilled to work closely with a new partner, Delta Sigma Theta Western Wake Alumni Chapter. The chapter officially co-sponsored three of the forums, in Garner, Cary and the North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction. We look forward to working together in the future!
Additionally, we would like to thank the NC Center for Voter Education for filming our forums, providing sound assistance and helping us create a PSA for radio to remind folks about the importance of local elections!
